Formed over seventy years ago when renowned danish architect poul henningsen came together with louis poulsen and began to combine a brilliant mix of technology and design to craft influential lighting. Ph 4 3 is designed on the principle of a reflecting multi shade system creating harmonious and glare free lighting. The fixture is designed based on the principle of a reflective three shade system which directs the majority of the light downwards. Launched in 1966 the ph 4 3 pendant features layered shades an anti glare disc and pure white surface providing smooth and pleasant light with no glare. The shade design is based on a logarithmic spiral with the centre of the light source placed in the spiral s focal point. The shades are made of metal and painted white to ensure uniform comfortable light distribution. Designed in 1925 the ph 4 3 effortlessly displays the luxury and softness of shape synonymous with the art deco movement.
