Next time keep an eye of such plates right infront of the entrance door for some reason they are hard to spot and i have been trolled by it few times myself till i finally discovered that it is not a bugged closed area but simply hard to spot floor plate puzzle.

The objective is to open all 4 doors to clean the path to the reward.

Gold door are contains a goold door which has to be opened to proceed to the next area.
Click the switches until all the doors are opened to retrieve the reward behind the lock door.
This area contains a locked room with a special chest or a mysterious darkshrine that grand a random effect there are four darkshrines in each run.
